The purpose of this policy is to explain to you how we control, process, handle and protect your personal information, including your rights under current laws and regulations. We are exempt from registration in the ICO Data Protection Register because we are only processing personal data for our core business purposes, the nature of which does not require registration.

We do not share this information with any other third parties.

When you have expressed interest in our products and services such as following a meeting, requesting a quote or making an enquiry through our website.

We use our secure email server as a means of communication directly with you.

We shall continue to process your information under this basis until we deem it no longer necessary for the purposes of our business or until you request for it to be removed.
Sharing your information:
Where appropriate, we may share your information with our distribution partners, so that you can purchase our products.
If, as determined by us, the lawful basis upon which we process your personal information changes, we will notify you about the change and any new lawful basis to be used if required. We shall stop processing your personal information if the lawful basis used is no longer relevant.

We ensure the security of any personal information we hold by using secure data storage technologies and precise procedures in how we store, access and manage that information. Our methods meet the GDPR compliance requirement.
4. Transparent Privacy Explanations
To help promote a transparent and honest user privacy methodology, we have provided some further explanations about user privacy and the specific methods used to store and process personal data.
4a. Customer Account Information
We use accountancy and order processing software to store and process data relating to B-Tech customer accounts. The information is limited to your company’s name and postal address, along with full name and contact email / phone numbers for any personnel relevant to the account. We use this information to process all orders, generate delivery notes and all other associated paperwork such as invoices.
4b. Visitors to our Website
When someone visits www.btechavmounts.com we use Google Analytics to collect standard internet log information so that we can monitor website traffic. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the site and to analyse which products and pages are popular. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. You can find more information on how cookies are used on this website in the Cookies Policy (see section 5 for more info). If we ever wish to collect personally identifiable information through our website, we will be up front about this. We will make it clear when we collect personal information and will explain what we intend to do with it.
4c. Website Dealer Accounts
One of our website functions is a dealer access portal through which users can gain access to restricted files. The data that we hold on users signed up to this feature is limited to name, email address and company name. This data is stored securely on our website and also in a protected Excel database which is kept on B-Tech’s secure, local server.
4d. Contact / Quote Request Forms and Livechat
Should you send us questions or request information or quotations via our contact tools, we will collect and process the data entered on the form, including the contact details you provide, to answer your question and any follow-up questions.
4e. Links to Other Websites
This privacy notice does not cover the links within this site that link to other websites (for example when we post a link to the site of a trade show we are exhibiting at). Those sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy, if you have questions about how a site uses your information, you’ll need to check that site’s privacy statement.
4f. Mailing List Sign Up
We use a third-party email platform, MailChimp, to manage our mailing list and to deliver our marketing emails. As part of the signup process to this mailing list, we collect personal data such as your name, company name, email address and the country you reside in. This allows us to send important company news and product announcement messages to you and, where applicable, may tailor this content based on your nearest local B-Tech office, to ensure it is relevant to you. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations/businesses and do not pass these details to any other third parties. Mailchimp’s platform also allows us to gather statistics around email opening and clicks to help us monitor and improve the type of email content that we deliver. You can unsubscribe from B-Tech marketing emails at any time or modify the information and preferences associated with your subscription by clicking the links at the bottom of any of our marketing emails, or by contacting marketing@btechavmounts.co.uk.
4g. Feedback Collection
So that we can offer the best possible service, we use a third-party processor to collect and analyse customer feedback, which is done via email and requires your response in order for your feedback to be collected. Customer details are shared solely for the purpose of sending the survey and collecting the responses and will not be used for any other purpose. We have written controller-processor contracts in place to make sure both ourselves and the third parties we use comply to all GDPR requirements.
