It is with great pride that B-Tech AV Mounts announce we have been judged to be Manufacturer of the Year in the biggest awards ceremony in the industry.

As far as Friday night industry events go, they don’t come much bigger or better than the annual AV Magazine AV Awards!

Staged once again at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair, this year’s awards was bigger and better than ever, with over 1,200 leading AV industry figures gathering for an evening of celebration and recognition.

B-Tech had entered the Manufacturer of the Year category with a strong entry covering our global expansion in new territories, European showroom development, strong product launches and impressive commercial success. Indeed, most of the B-Tech staff attending the evening had flown in from InfoComm India earlier the same day – taking their seats at the B-Tech table after 48 hours of little to no sleep!

Eagle eyed attendees on the night may have even noticed that our key account manager, Norman Case, attended the evening in two right-footed shoes following a 20-minute rush to prepare!

However, tiredness was not an issue and senses were on full alert as the evening’s accolades were handed out by celebrity compere Gyles Brandreth. The list of awards culminated with the two biggest accolades of the night: Distributor of the Year and Manufacturer of the Year.

Midwich deservedly claimed the penultimate Distributor prize before the anticipation of the final award of the night. With ten companies shortlisted, the Manufacturer of the Year category is always hotly contested and this year was no different. The category included some of the biggest brands in the world, including Samsung, NEC, Panasonic and Sharp.

There then followed the winners’ announcement for the biggest prize of the night, which was hard to take in over all the noise and celebration – B-Tech AV Mounts! Under a staggering LED stage and lighting display, B-Tech managing director Matt Bennett led his management team to the stage to collect the coveted ‘silver gherkin’.

He later said: “To receive this award is fantastic recognition for all the hard work from our staff – not only for the past 12 months but all the years that have led up to this. B-Tech is 45 years old this year and I can’t think of any better way to celebrate that landmark than with this; the biggest award in this industry for a manufacturer.”

“We are immensely proud of what we have achieved, but there is plenty more to come. We are passionate about our products and that is reflected in all that we do – from bespoke project design to fast turnaround times and after-sales support.”

He added: “We’d like to thank AV Magazine for once again putting on a simply staggering evening – they deserve an award themselves for organising an evening of 1,200+ industry figures that goes off without a hitch! We also want to congratulate all the other category winners and finalists on what was a fantastic evening.”

In truth, this is still sinking in, but we look forward to another year of supporting the AV industry with our award-winning people, products and service.”
