Thankyou for a tremendous Technology Exposed...
One of our main UK distributors, Midwich, staged their annual Technology Exposed event at Mercedes Benz World and what a fantastic show it was.
The event, which is staged over two days, has always been a great way to engage with fellow manufacturers and AV end users and this year was no exception. With over 50 stands, Tech Exposed visitors get hands on with the latest technologies the industry has to offer, with everything from touchscreens to professional broadcast solutions on display.
For B-Tech, it gave us a great opportunity to demonstrate new additions to our System X range of multi-screen and digital signage mounts for QSR menu boards, video walls, broadcast and control room applications.
These additions included new interface arms designed for the latest XL screens as well as the highly anticipated pop-out interface arms which bring pop-in/pop-out functionality to the range.
Two new base options for system X were also on display; the first was the new bolt down solution, which is proving popular in retail applications. The second; a freestanding version ideally suited to single column applications such as VC stands or digital information kiosks, for which brand new cosmetic screen cover was also on show.
Also on the B-Tech stand was our updated BT8310, this installer favourite can now support video wall displays up 75kg (previously 50kg) and was mounted onto B-Tech’s System 2 poles to demonstrate how our solutions can be used together for floor-to-ceiling or other more complex installs.
From the morning of the first day, it was clear it was going to be a busy show as consultants, integrators and end users visited the B-Tech stand to discuss applications with our team. As usual, it was our System X range which took centre stage – with interest no doubt raised by our AV Awards Accessory of the Year Finalist nomination.
System X solutions could be seen all around the show, with fellow exhibitors Datapath, ATEN and Brightsign all utilising B-Tech on their stands. Talk panel sessions, hosted by AV Magazine, covered collaboration in today’s AV world and, the following day, LED usage and its future growth predictions.
Another highlight was the VIP tour of the stunning LG showroom, showcasing their latest OLED and ultra-stretch displays, which provided an insightful glimpse into the future of commercial signage.
However, along with all the business, there was plenty of play to be had. Being the home of the Formula One World Championship winning team, show visitors had the chance to be taken out on the Mercedes test track in one of their powerful saloons. There was also a ‘crack the safe’ competition that could see a show visitor win a brand new Mercedes C Class worth £30,000. A superb evening meal between the two days with fellow industry manufacturers and specialists highlighted what a fantastic networking event Technology Exposed is.
In summary, a fantastic couple of days which saw us meet many of our established customers, plus make solid connections with new ones. We’d like to send big thanks to all at Midwich and Mercedes Benz World who made the day possible and, of course, to everyone who attended and came and said hello!
